Working Through the Past at a Gentle Pace
Trauma often leaves you tense, alert, or disconnected long after the events themselves are over. You might notice that certain places, sounds, or conversations trigger strong reactions, or that your body feels “on edge” before your mind even registers it. These responses are understandable — your nervous system is trying to protect you.

Counselling offers a way to explore these experiences safely, at your own pace. Together, we’ll look at how past events affect your current life and develop approaches that help your body and mind settle. It’s about noticing patterns, experimenting with small shifts, and discovering what actually helps you feel steady in day-to-day life.

This work is gradual, but it’s possible to move from surviving past events to feeling more present and grounded. Over time, you can notice small shifts: moments of ease, choices that feel less stressful, and the ability to engage in life with more clarity and calm.
